"Alas, that's what he told us too, but we're in dire need of your services. I'm certain it'll be worth your time." I said with a strong official tone while the dragon seemed even more distraught. Letting out a long sigh the dragon turned it's back at me.

"Would your companion stop tapping his foot? I am not hungry at the moment, but that might change at any moment." it grunted without glancing back before scurrying to the depths of the cave. I gave an angry look at Jorgor, who shrugged in response per usual. Dwarves... Jorgor and Darno were my bodyguards, political escort to keep me safe. Not that I couldn't keep myself safe as my magic was potent enough to fight dragons, but it was always nice to have a few burly dwarves keeping you company.

Jorgor was from the Stonecutter clan from north. He had spent his childhood as any honorable dwarf would, working hard, drinking hard and fighting hard. Before he was recruited by the Ambassadors he had fought almost everything their land had to offer and was working as a peacekeeper. The pay there isn't that big and while he didn't find that job any repulsive or so, the large payment one would get for working pretty much lured him in. "'hat money gonna keep ma family bouncin' fer months!" I remember him occasionally boasting in taverns we were staying.

Being a cleric, Darno didn't really join for money. Partly that, but dwarven clerics have their own way of vowing service for a God. Humans settled for a prayer, qualifing you for the service... Dwarven vow lasted for a good part of their life. After he had finished his pre-training he was sent to the Ambassadors to fullfill his vow by working there. His duties didn't diminish the dwarven personality at all though. "Stop movin' around, it's gunna hurt twice the much! I'll buy yous a drink after this." he said to anyone criticising his rough treatment.

The dragon soon returned. I was quite amazed how well it moved around even with the cave being full of jagged stone pillars and other obstacles, but seemingly blindness wasn't an impairement for these beasts. Thankfully I was blessed with good sight and saw a small locket hanging from it's jaws. Before I could say anything the dragon stepped forth, it's head towering above me . I quickly catched the locket as it crunched the frail chain. Seemingly it wasn't doing all of this as a favor, one could tell from the agitated twitches and the way it simply crashed down on the floor to lay down.

"I assume we own a favor for you?"

"At least you have more common sense than that foolish Tragor." it groaned, placing it's head right in front of me. While I had good eye sight, I didn't notice how dirty the blindfold actually was - the gems covered most of it, but still showing quite clearly that the beasts hadn't had proper care for ages.

"I am Nagath, broodmother for the silver ones." I realized we hadn't introduced ourselves as she gently sniffed my attire. Jorgor and Darno were a bit anxious of this, but I motioned them to relax for now.
